PFLAG Columbus SUPPORT EDUCATION ADVOCACY for Columbus LGBTQ Families PFLAG is Fighting For Access to Gender Affirming Care Federal Judge Blocks Order Targeting Medical Care for Transgender Youth A federal court issued a temporary restraining order blocking the enforcement of a recent executive order that sought to limit access to genderaffirming medical care for transgender youth under 19. The order prevents federal agencies from withholding funding to healthcare providers offering such care. PFLAG National representing transgender youth and their families praised the decision calling it a correction of a harmful policy that threatened medically necessary care for transgender children. The ruling aims to protect transgender youths access to care and ensure families rights to necessary healthcare.
