CQRC is grateful to Representative Eugene Vindman for co-sponsoring the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform (SOAR) Act (H.R. 2902), which removes barriers to care for patients living with complex respiratory conditions like COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis. The SOAR Act would safeguard access to supplemental oxygen and improve the lives of Medicare beneficiaries. Thank you so much for your support of #SOARActO2! (fb)
Long-term oxygen therapy (LTOT) has been shown to improve survival rates for patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), and Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). Recent research evaluated the initiation of LTOT for respiratory patients, showing reduced rates of both total and hospitalized acute exacerbations, as well as all-cause hospitalizations, within 12 months of follow-up. Every day 1. 5 million Americans depend upon home respiratory therapy to maintain a high quality of life while receiving the health care treatments they need. These therapies provide the freedom for those who rely upon them to remain in their own homes and lead fulfilling lives. Discover how the bipartisan SOAR Act led by Senators Cassidy Warner and Klobuchar and Representatives Valadao Brownley Bucshon and Smith is poised to revolutionize oxygen accessibility for Medicare patients.
