East Metro Symphony Orchestra
The East Metro Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra that has been providing a broad range of orchestral experiences to the Twin Cities area since 1957. East Metro Symphony Orchestra (EMSO) is a community orchestra focused east of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. The east metro cities including Oakdale, Maplewood, North St. Paul, Stillwater and Woodbury are the main areas of performances. Our mission is to provide a broad range of educational, multicultural and inspirational orchestral experiences to East Metro communities. Specifically, we seek to: continue the orchestra’s historical tradition of providing affordable concerts to East Metro audiences, educate the orchestra’s musicians and audiences by performing a broad range of culturally-diverse, challenging, and entertaining music, and provide opportunities for lifelong avocational musicians and accomplished soloists of all ages to perform with a symphony orchestra.
