Special Olympics New Jersey (SONJ) provides year-round sports training, athletic competition and health opportunities to thousands of athletes and Unified partners throughout the state, completely free of charge! To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Olympics New Jersey | Transforming Lives Through Sports Join us in supporting Special Olympics New Jersey athletes across the Garden State by volunteering signing up for events fundraising or donating. Lets do something SPECIAL together. Unified Champion Schools Stay Fit Champions Patio and Law Enforcement Tribute Walk Eat Healthy The Spring season has begun. Athletes who participate in spring sports began practicing in February and compete at local and sectional levels until April with the goal of advancing to our annual state Spring Games.
