Home Big League Ball with a Small Town Feel Games run from early May through the end of June History of the Little League It all began in the little town of Oxford Iowa in the early days of February 1938 when a woman named Mildred Tomash purchased the land that is now known as the Oxford Little League ball fields. In 1973 she gave the land to the Lions Club of Oxford to create a park playground equipment was added a ball diamond was created tractor pulls were organized along the north side of the park. The ball park quickly became a place for youth to come run the bases swing on the playground or ride a merrygoround. Clear Creek Amana Youth Little League was granted the ownership of the property on January 23 2018.
