Here's why Jamie is running for our 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon team: "I had my first grand mal seizure when I was 15, and shortly after, I was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy. It was a very scary time, but I was incredibly fortunate to have the most supportive friends and family by my side. Thanks to their love—and the right treatment plan—I was able to keep going to school, stay active, and continue doing the things I love, including working out and running. This year is my 9 years seizure free and I can’t imagine collaborating with another organization. Living with epilepsy has taught me so much about resilience and gratitude, and I’m beyond excited to be turning this journey into something that gives back to others walking a similar path."
