🚨🗞️📰 News 📰 🗞️ 🚨 In the beginning of May the Mercer County 911 center started dispatching local fire departments automatically to reported cardiac arrests in an effort to assist county ambulance services. Since this change the department has responded to five cardiac arrests, two thankfully were not cardiac arrests upon arrival. Out of the remaining three responses that were cardiac arrests, one of the patients is currently in a stepdown unit recovering. We are proud of our members for embracing this change and continuing to serve our community. 🏘️ Because of this change we took an opportunity tonight to go over equipment one of our local ambulance services carries and where we can find it on their ambulances so we can better assist them during cardiac arrest responses. Over the next several weeks we will be reaching out to other local ambulance services to do the same. 🔥 Congratulations to Our New Fire Officer I Certified Members! 🔥 This past March, two members completed a 40 hour prep course and subsequent certification test at the Fire Officer I level, a major milestone in leadership and professional development in the fire service. This week they received their results and we can proudly announce we have two more members certified as fire officers. The Fire Officer I certification demonstrates their knowledge, skills, and readiness to take on supervisory roles, including: ✅ Leading emergency operations ✅ Managing personnel ✅ Conducting training and mentoring ✅ Ensuring safety and operational readiness Their hard work and dedication reflect a deep commitment to both personal growth and the mission of serving our community at the highest level.
