THE LOS ANGELES VALLEY COLLEGE FOUNDATION

LA Valley College is a 2-year public community college located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley. Established in 1949, we offer associates degrees, courses for transfering to a 4-year university, career training and lifelong learning. The Los Angeles Valley College Foundation (formerly the Patrons Association of Los Angeles Valley College) is committed to advancing the teaching and learning objectives of Valley College, and most of all, providing its students an environment that fosters a healthy exchange of ideas. The Foundationlooks to achieve its objectives by building relationships with Valley alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. It will also conduct fundraising campaigns and strengthen communications to unite friends and supporters as advocates of the Foundation

#repost @laccd.edu • 💫 Meet Angel, a resilient Los Angeles Valley College student whose path hasn’t been easy—but has been nothing short of inspiring. After facing setbacks in her original major and growing up in the foster care system, Angel returned to LAVC with renewed purpose. With support from programs like EOPS, NextUp, Guardian Scholars, Umoja Black Scholars, and the Basic Needs Center, she’s now on the Dean’s Honor Roll and serving as a statewide foster youth ambassador.
