The Hans Christian Andersen Storytelling Center is a non-profit organization that promotes storytelling events held each Saturday for auciences of all ages at the H.C. Andersen statue in Central Park. Our main mission and activity is to provide storytelling sessions for children and adults by the Hans Christian Andersen Statue in Central Park (entrance from 72nd and Fifth Avenue) Saturdays at 11 a.m. during the summer. Our mission is to foster the appreciation of live storytelling for children and adults for human interaction, pleasure, information and education to broaden their horizon mentally and culturally. Historically we have also offered storytelling training and competition for children.
