Overview
The Jackson Hole Children's Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering creativity, curiosity, learning, and play among children. Located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, it opened its doors in November 2011 with the support of over 100 local families and donors. Founders KJ and Craig Morris were motivated by the opportunity to create a space that allows children to thrive during the region's cold winter months.
Mission and Vision
The museum's mission is to ignite every kid’s potential through creativity, learning, and play. Its vision is to build a community where the magic of learning and play is accessible to everyone.
Programs and Exhibits
The museum offers a variety of interactive exhibits and activities suitable for children up to about age 7. These include:
- Indoor Play Structures: Climbing walls and indoor climbers provide ample opportunities for physical activity.
- Imaginative Play Areas: A mock grocery store and other role-playing spaces encourage social and cognitive development.
- Creative Spaces: An art room equipped with various materials like markers, crayons, paints, and craft supplies.
- Educational Exhibits: A shadow room, a wind tunnel, a train table, and a magnet board with moveable gears.
- Reading Library: A diverse collection of children's books.

As a nonprofit, the museum relies heavily on contributions and program services for revenue. In past financial reports, contributions have constituted a significant majority of total revenue.
