Next Ten
Looking ahead to 2025, Next 10 is working on multiple research projects to better understand the energy and environmental justice impacts of the rapid increase in the size and number of data centers to power AI will have on communities, as well as opportunities to increase renewable energy use. As we prepare to release these projects, we are launching a series of graphics, highlighting the basics of AI, data centers, and their energy use. It is more important than ever that Californians are aware of the impact that this industry can have on our climate goals, as well as opportunities to mitigate them.
