Hermasreaders HERMAS READERS ABOUT US Hermas Readers is a nonprofit organization developed by the family of Frank Beamer football coach at Virginia Tech to honor his mother Herma who was a teacher for over 30 years. The purpose of the organization is to promote encourage and support reading for students in kindergarten through third grade throughout elementary schools in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Hermas Readers are current and former Virginia Tech athletes coaches and dignitaries who are available to visit schools throughout the state to promote reading by reading to students in kindergarten through third grade. Hermas Readers has collected and distributed over 200000 new and used books.
