For over 40 years, The Directors Company has mentored and supported emerging artists in the development of original theatre works from inception to production, providing artistic and dramaturgical guidance to promising, new theatre artists and their projects. Housed and operating in The Directors Company is S.T.A.R. Theater, an award-winning, nationally recognized, evidence-based, multi-session peer education program, which addresses behaviors related to adolescent emotional and physical health. and the newly formed Next Wave Initiative, a developmental branch of The Directors Company, committed to amplifying future Black voices in The American Theatre.
