We are excited to share our latest alumni spotlight featuring Maliha Ghowrwal. Maliha is a proud graduate of the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF), class of 2021, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA). She is now based in Amsterdam and currently works as a Supply Risk Case Officer at Rabobank. Maliha will be pursuing her Master’s degree in Asset Management at the University of Amsterdam in fall 2025. Reflecting on her journey, Maliha describes her time at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) as some of the most transformative years of her life. “AUAF pushed me in a positive direction, shaping my career and opening doors to incredible opportunities. At a young age, I had the chance to work with major organizations like #UNICEF and the Netherlands Embassy in Afghanistan, all while balancing life as a full-time student and employee. Yet, I never felt exhausted—the energy, friendships, and shared experiences with classmates made it all worthwhile.” From engaging classroom discussions to late-night coffee chats at the university café, the memories she built at #AUAF continue to inspire her today.
