Had a great opportunity to go to Olympia WA yesterday to meet with Pat Chapman who is an expert on Willits Bros canoes. They were manufacturers near Tacoma, WA for many decades in a very distinctive style. Pat is also an expert restorer of Willits and all wood and canvas canoes. I was lucky to pickup this beautiful 1945 Old Town Guide 20ft. It needs new canvas and varnish. He really liked the idea of the MN Canoe Museum growing! (fb)
