This is a courtesy post. This dog is located in the Los Angeles: It absolutely breaks our hearts to be writing this, but we are looking to re-home our beloved dog Finn. This decision has come after many long, emotional conversations and months of trying to make things work. We love him dearly—he is an amazing, goofy, affectionate boy—and we are committed to finding him the right home, one that understands his breed and will give him the safety, structure, and love he deserves. He will never go back to a shelter. That is a promise. Finn is a 2-year-old Tibetan Mastiff/Great Pyrenees mix. Rescued several months ago as a stray, he has blossomed into a healthy, confident 80-lb dog with strong guardian instincts. He adores his people, greeting them with excited nose-boops and standing hugs. He’s potty trained and rings the bell to go outside. He travels well, though he does best in a car crate or gated back. He takes treats with the gentlest touch and has no interest in counter surfing. He has shown no signs of resource guarding. Finn loves playing chase and tug with other dogs, though his size makes him better suited for households with large, calm companions. He has lived with cats and small dogs, but his protective instincts can make high-energy environments challenging. Finn thrives with structure and needs an experienced owner familiar with livestock guardian breeds. He is alert and barks to signal potential threats but usually calms once his alerts are acknowledged. He does not like the gardeners or other invading his territory, and he does best if on a leash at your side or in a crate with a stuffed Kong when the gardeners come. While generally great with other dogs, he can become overstimulated in chaotic situations, which has led to increased conflicts with our existing high-energy alpha dog. Despite attempts at management, the household dynamic makes it unsafe for him to stay. Finn needs a quiet, structured home with a securely fenced yard, and ideally an adult or couple who understands his breed’s needs. Finn is a wonderful, loving dog with immense potential—he just needs a ton of love and the right environment to thrive. If you or someone you know might be the right fit for this incredible dog, please reach out. We’re happy to talk more about his personality, his needs, and the joy he brings into our lives every day. Thank you so much for reading and helping us find the perfect forever home for our Mr. Finnegan. (fb)

Anna is about three years old and is very sweet. She is great with other dogs and with cats. With people she is somewhat more selective and there have been some people that she does not like. Accordingly, if you might be interested in Anna, you must come and meet her. Like the rest of the gang will you have posted pictures of today, Anna is in Virginia. (fb)
