Syracuse City School District Educational Foundation
Our mission is to provide additional support to the teachers and 20,000 children in SCSD, mostly through grants for innovative educational projects. To supplement, support and enrich the student experience to prepare them for a successful future. The Syracuse City School District Educational Foundation is an independent fundraising organization charged with providing supplemental resources for educational programs in the city schools. Since 2003, the SCSD Educational Foundation has successfully provided over $900,00 in grants to teachers and schools for projects that otherwise would not have been possible in the Syracuse City Schools. Teachers apply for Foundation grants that provide technology, books, field trips, STEM programs, in-class guest artists and performers, and school supplies. Funds from event sponsors, United Way donors, and individual donations are used to fund grants in schools throughout the City of Syracuse
