Last month, the Frederick community came together for the Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Chapter Race to Feed Frederick—a high-energy, fast-paced event at Frederick Community College dedicated to addressing childhood hunger. With 90 participants packing 2,400 bags of weekend food and 55 volunteers contributing a combined 192.5 hours, the event raised more than $10,500 to support students facing food insecurity in Frederick County.
