THE FIRE DEPARTMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EXTINGUISHING FIRES, FIRE PREVENTION AND THE MAINTENANCE OF FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT AND DEPARTMENT FACILITIES.

Home - Lancaster Township Volunteer Fire Department LTFD Needs Your Help When you call 911 any time day or night the men and women of the Lancaster Township Fire Department drop everything to help you. These volunteers answer about 500 emergency calls every year. Although Lancaster Township provides the departments basic operating funds it takes additional dollars to provide the best emergency services you deserve and to keep our firefighters safe well equipped and well trained. Donations help us purchase valuable equipment beyond the scope of Township funding and it provides support services for our firefighters.

Each year, LTFD Chief/FM, Ron Comfort Junior, places flowers on the grave of Lieutenant Rankin in remembrance of LT Rankin’s line-of-duty death on September 25, 2011. While we are all busy, we cannot be too busy to forget our fallen brother. Thank you, Chief/FM Comfort.
