The Pemakö Health Initiative (PHI) builds community reliant family and obstetrical healthcare promoting healthy families from birth. By recruiting, empowering, training and employing indigenous people to sustain remote healthcare facilities andsystems, PHI creates access to family health care, medications, equipment and Clean Delivery Kits for each pregnant woman to improve maternal and child health outcomes.  In remote and isolated Himalayan villages which are beyond the reach of local healthcare systems, prevention and quality of life efforts will be addressed by developing access to clean water and  sanitation methods.
