Youth and Government teaches democracy to hundreds of Pennsylvania teens each year through hands on experiences. YMCA Youth & Government Program Founded in 1869, the State YMCa of PA, Inc. is charged with providing civics based educational programs throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. MISSION STATEMENTOur Mission is to increase knowledge of democratic processes, leadership ability and civic engagement of Pennsylvanians, through experiential programs that stress ethics, servant leadership, and active citizenship.
