The Hunger Coalition of the Lowcountry is an all volunteer multi-faith alliance of community volunteers who work together to address hunger issues in the Lowcountry.   We focus on programs for children, families, and adults whose economic situation limits their ability to have an adequate supply of healthy food. Our mission is to help end hunger in the Lowcountry.

Backpack Buddies of Hilton Head was designedto fight weekend hunger and has grown to help children in all public schools onHilton Head Island. Elementary aged children at partner schools receivenutritious food each Friday during the school year. Children in middle and highschool are offered snack packs during the school day whenever needed.
