Claudias & Eddies Place NFP
Claudia's and Eddie's Place is a not- for- profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe haven and sober environment for women who are suffering from the abuses of drugs, alcohol, homelessness, mental illness and domestic violence. We provide a safe haven for women, while empowering them to become productive members of society. Our goal is to strengthen them with life skills while providing them with the positive coping skills needed to help reconnect with their families. Founded in 2007, we have served nearly 200 women, helping them with overcoming substance abuse issues to become productive individuals and achieve quality of life. Our clinical treatment plans include such services as screening/assessment, brief intervention, treatment planning, individual counseling, and group counseling. Our recovery support services include case management, medical services through our collaborative partner, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, educational services, and peer-to-peer services. Our Vision: We envision a place filled with people able to recover from their “hurts, hang ups and habits”. In our vision, we see an entire neighborhood positively affected and transformed as the people we serve begin to see there is a better way and that they can own their individual power to make our communities better. Claudia’s & Eddie’s Place works to develop the skills necessary to increase individual’s self-esteem and sense of accomplishment to recover from any issues that prevent them from achieving quality of life. We are committed to being a major provider of programs and services that help fulfill the emotional, educational and social needs of people. By providing short—and long-term permanent, supportive housing; life skills training (Domestic Violence, HIV/AIDS education and parenting); recovery support; and job readiness skill development and placement initiatives through vocational training, Claudia's & Eddie's Place exists to help fight social and economic prejudices and injustices "One Individual at a Time".
