The American College Dance Association exists to support and affirm dance in higher education. The American College Dance Association exists to support and affirm dance in higher education through regional conferences, the adjudication process, and national festivals. The educational mission of the Association is to foster creative potential, to honor multiple approaches to scholarly and creative research and activity, to promote excellence in choreography and/or performance, and to give presence and value to diversity in dance. The Association acts as a national membership service organization to strengthen the educational network for students and faculty within the academic dance community.

American College Dance Association | Formerly American College Dance Festival Association (ACDFA) American College Dance Association Formerly American College Dance Festival Association ACDFA Main menu Welcome to the American College Dance Association Supporting dance in higher education since 1973. The American College Dance Associations primary focus is to support and promote the wealth of talent and creativity that is prominent throughout college and university dance departments. ACDAs sponsorship of 11 regional conferences the National College Dance Festival the Screendance Festival and our AtLarge Virtual Adjudication Program provides the platforms for students and faculty to engage in multiple performances workshops panels and guest artist classes taught by instructors from around the region and country. All of ACDAs programs also provide the unique opportunity for students and faculty to have their dance works adjudicated by a panel of nationally recognized dance professionals in open and constructive forums.
