Bricklayers' Local 1 of Missouri // Tilesetters' Local 18 of Missouri Organized in 1864 we are theBricklayers Local 1 and the first Labor Union and Local of any trade west of the Mississippi River. The Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers Administrative District Council of Eastern Missouri represents Local 1 of Missouri bricklayers stone masonsand pointerscleanerscaulkers and Local 18 of Missouri tilesetters marble masons and terrazzo workers. We take pride in the fact that weve built St. Louis and that our leadership has taken care of the membership of this Union for more than 160 years and will continue to do so for many more.
