The Craddock Center delivers educational and cultural programs to children, families, and communities The mission of The Craddock Center is to deliver educational and cultural programs to young children, families, and individual communities in Southern Appalachia. The area we serve consists of nine (9) counties including Dawson, Gilmer, Fannin, Lumpkin, Pickens, Towns, and Union Counties in Georgia, Polk County in Tennessee, and Cherokee County in North Carolina. Our role in promoting the mission of The Craddock Center is best described through active, hands-on outreach to the very young in preschool and Head Start programs. We share songs, dance, puppetry, movement, and stories.

Founded in 2001 in response to an initiative by Cherry Log Christian Church, it is named after Dr. Fred Craddock, a renowned minister emeritus and professor, and his wife Nettie Craddock.
