The Chicago Bible Society is a non- denominational outreach ministry that works with all Christians – Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant – to increase the reading and understanding of the Bible The Chicago Bible Society's mission is to distribute the Bible and encourage its serious reading. To achieve this goal, the Society provides Bibles, New Testaments and Scripture portions at a low cost or free of charge for use in prison and hospital ministries, nursing homes, shelters and food pantries. Chicago Bible Society also provides resources for Bible study and outreach programs.
