SCMI SCMI A strategic alliance of 24 major universities colleges and foundations in Southern California committed to providing marine expertise and handson experience to students at all levels to achieve the highest and most efficacious level of research to monitor the marine environment and to increase public awareness. SCMIs mission is to foster marine research and education focusing on the urban impacts of the greater Los Angeles region on the coastal ocean. We seek to improve scientific understanding and the development of solutions that will enable coastal waters and watersheds to thrive adapt and become resilient to ongoing environmental stressors. VESSEL BOOKING SCMI is home of the RV Yellowfin which is available for both educational and research endeavors.
