May 31: Family Kite Day, Color and Build: The Family Kite Event took off with a gust of enthusiasm! Steve and Cliff spoke briefly about the history of kites, types of kites, and kite competitions. The families showed great creativity in designing their kites. Once the kites were decorated, Cliff, Steve, and a teen volunteer assisted the kids in building their kites. The best part—these kites do fly! The Friends of the Parkland Community Library and Quinco Kites sponsored this event.
