Originally, founded in New York City in 1975 by legendary theatrical innovator, Ping Chong, the company is now being transformed through a three-year transition period led by an Artistic Leadership Team comprised of Nile Harris, Jane Jung, Mei Ann Teo, Talvin Wilks, and Sara Zatz.

An invaluable space for connecting with brilliant teaching artists of all backgrounds and experience levels, the fair has yielded so many of our current collaborators over the past years. When we set out on this Transition Period in late 2022 after Ping and Bruce decided to retire, one of Ping's requests to the company was for us to change the name of the organization.
