Community Film Workshop of Chicago
The mission of the Community Film Workshop of Chicago is to provide access to the tools of media production that supports the development of digital media artists of color in underserved communities by providing: professional development classes, networking opportunities, screenings of independent and new media, and collaborations that support community building, media production and presentation. We believe in the power of the arts to build community, inspire social change, and bring a fresh perspective to difficult and complex issues of race, ethnicity, class, gender identity, and sexual orientation. CFWC continues supporting diversity in media through youth media, industry-led workshops, internships, technical assistance and consultation, fiscal agency, and co-sponsorship of events.
