TO ESTABLISH A TURKISH CULTURAL CENTER IN CHAPEL HILL, NORTH CAROLINA AND TO FACILITATE EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN TURKEY AND THE USA THROUGH LECTURES, FILMS, SOCIAL GATHERINGS AND EXHIBITS CONDUCTED AT THE CENTER; TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR TURKISH STUDENTS IN THE LOCAL AREA AS THEY ACCLIMATE TO AMERICAN CULTURE; TO HOLD INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS AND LANGUAGE CLASSES FOR AMERICAN STUDENTS AS WELL AS TURKISH AMERICAN CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT FLUENT IN TURKISH.
