Special Olympics Tennessee

Special Olympics Tennessee provides year-round sports training and competition for more than 18,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. With training and competitions in 16 Olympic-style sports, SOTN athletes push hard and play harder. The mission of Special Olympics Tennessee is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, develop healthy lifestyle habits, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
