Altus Academy OUR MISSION The mission of Altus Academy is to create a culture of character based on human virtue and academic excellence that transforms the student the family and the community. Altus Academy is a private independent nonprofit elementary school that provides a tuitionfree college preparatory education for families. We aim to serve students from historical minority groups lowincome households firstgeneration college graduate households and some of the most challenging neighborhoods and communities in the Chicago area.
