Located in the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Twenty boutique wineries from Auburn to Lincoln in the Gold Country (Sierra Foothills AVA). THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF PLACER COUNTY AS A PREMIER WINE-PRODUCING REGION, TO ENHANCE PUBLIC RECOGNITION OF THE HANDCRAFTED, AWARD WINNING WINES OF PLACER COUNTY AND TO PROMOTE A POSITIVE BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT FOR THE GROWTH AND PRODUCTION OF PLACER COUNTY WINES AND WINERIES.
