Wildlife Orphanage
As urban sprawl continues at an alarming rate, more and more of our native wildlife are forced to live in our backyards. One result of our collision with nature is the growing number of animals that are orphaned and injured every year. The Wildlife Orphanage was formed to provide a helping hand for these suffering animals and an opportunity to give back to nature what our cars, pets and development so often take away. Through our member network of volunteers and supportive veterinarians, injured and orphaned wildlife is rescued and cared for until old enough or well enough to be released back into the wild. We provide a second chance. In addition, we strive to educate the community in ways to peacefully co-exist with wildlife as well as how to deal with conflicts humanely.
