While the Class of 2025 has left us, our 9th - 11th grade students are spending the week on final exams and presentations. Ms. Schmidt's Advanced Digital Photo and Dr. Campbell's Music Tech students did a really cool collab for their final project - a concept album about their life. Said Dr. Campbell, "Music Tech students spent the entire semester building their album. For the final, they had to create a signature song that would be the foundation of the entire album." They were paired with Digital Photo students who treated the Music Tech students as their clients, filling out a survey about their album's theme, sound, look and mood and creating artwork to match. For example, Micah's album was called Colors. He wanted to go with an abstract theme that was left up to interpretation and felt that colors can be interpreted as moods presented in each piece. Thus, he named each of his songs in the album by color. Bryson ran with the idea of colors and looked into the work of the street artist Banksy, who is famous for black and white art with a touch of color. Micah's final song was called Blood Red, because he felt that red was a power color and tied the album together. Great work by all of our teachers and students! (fb)
