Yesterday, our Form I students took a trip to the Columbus Museum of Art to experience a new special exhibit of Louise Nevelson's work. Nevelson is a pioneer in modern sculpture creating large monochromatic assemblage sculptures. Students spent time admiring her work, drew some of the pieces, and read about her journey in art from a student to practicing artist. Our students will soon take to our art room to create their own sculptures inspired by all the incredible displays at CMA. (fb)
