Pickford Area Historical Society Welcome The Pickford Area Historical Society came to life in 1976 when several members of the community realized the importance of preserving the history of the area. The Society celebrated the Centennial of Pickford in 1977 as well as acquired several hundred items for inclusion into a museum. For several years the members saved and planned. The risk of losing much of the area history became evident with the passing of many older residents so the Society reorganized in 2000.
