Slavic Gospel Association | SGA
Slavic Gospel Association—sharing the Gospel, equipping the Church, and helping the forgotten since 1934 SGA serves evangelical churches in Russia and the former Soviet republics, by helping national pastors and their congregations reach their own people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1934, SGA began taking the Gospel to the atheistic Soviet Union. While the communists strove to eliminate Christians, SGA's extensive radio ministries penetrated the Iron Curtain to reach the lost and encourage the faithful persecuted believers. Today, we help nationals plant evangelistic churches and advance sound expository preaching. In addition to Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, SGA serves persecuted churches across Central Asia and the Caucasus, and Russian-speaking congregations in Israel. More than 300 national missionary pastors and seven Bible seminaries are supported. We assist indigenous churches in evangelism through providing Bibles, evangelistic literature, and Bible study tools; children's outreaches such as Orphans Reborn, children's camps, and youth ministry; evangelistic outreaches such as Immanuel's Child at Christmas; and Crisis Evangelism assistance to churches reaching thousands whose lives have been shattered through war, poverty, and persecution.
