SELF is a nonprofit community lending organization. We provide affordable and inclusive financing for sustainable home improvement projects. Our mission is to rebuild & empower underserved communities by providing access to affordable financing for sustainable property improvement, with the primary focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy, & climate resistance in LMI neighborhoods. Help Kathleen Protect Her Home and Independence Kathleen is a single, elderly woman living alone on a fixed income in Florida. She’s doing her best to stay independent, but recently discovered that animals had made their way under her home, damaging her air conditioning ducts and vapor barrier. The repairs needed to keep her home safe and properly sealed are more than she can afford on her own.
