The organization is a perpetual trust organized to provide financial support for the Abraham Lincoln Collection consisting of three dimensional items at the Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis, IN and documents, images, and other two dimensional items at the Allen County Public Library, Fort Wayne, IN.

Lincoln Collection Endowment
In February of 1911, President William Howard Taft signed a bill ordering the construction of a memorial to Abraham Lincoln. The only surviving son of the fallen President, Robert Todd Lincoln, would regularly request to be driven by the worksite. He was even able to visit the memorial during its preparation on one occasion.
