Location of the At-Risk Historic Moore-Irwin House near the corner of Moore Rd. and Eighth Avenue in King of Prussia. Grant money CAN be obtained to save it, but not without the cooperation of the township. The house is architecturally significant because of renovations by renowned architect R. Brognard Okie. The area served as General Muhlenberg's Headquarters during the Revolutionary War. George Washington tells of visiting the Moore House and fishing in the nearby Trout Creek. Let us hope that all of the opportunities to save this township-owned piece of history will soon be fully explored. (fb)
