We support and promote artists and visual arts spaces and connect the public to art in the East Bay. Oakland Art Murmur (OAM) seeks to amplify the voices of Oakland’s artists and arts workers and seeks to connect the public to the eclectic and incredible art of Oakland. We are motivated to expand equity in the arts and empower artists of all backgrounds and experiences. To that end, OAM seeks to promote historically underserved artists and art spaces. Since our beginnings in 2006, Oakland Art Murmur (OAM) has connected thousands of artists in thousands of exhibitions to over 1,000,000 visitors. Our signature programs include the First Friday Art Walk, Second Saturday Art Tours, Art Route, Spirit of Oakland and the Art and Equity Conversations panel series.
