SilverLining is a non-profit organization working to ensure safety for the world’s people & natural systems as we drive toward a sustainable future. SILVERLINING IS DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT SOCIETY HAS SUFFICIENT INFORMATION AND OPTIONS TO UNDERSTAND AND RESPOND TO NEAR-TERM CLIMATE CHANGE. WE AIM TO RAPIDLY ADVANCE SOCIETY'S ABILITY TO ENSURE THE SAFETY AND WELL-BEING OF THE WORLD'S PEOPLE AND ECOSYSTEMS, ESPECIALLY ITS MOST VULNERABLE, AGAINST ESCALATING CLIMATE RISKS. WE DO THIS BY PROMOTING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE INVESTMENTS IN CRITICAL AREAS OF CLIMATE AND ATMOSPHERIC RESEARCH, BY SUPPORTING SCIENCE-INNOVATION, AND BY ADVANCING SCIENCE-BASED GOVERNANCE AND EQUITABLE DECISION-MAKING ON RESPONSES TO NEAR-TERM CLIMATE CHANGE.

SilverLining Ensuring a Safe and Secure Planet We need better information and new approaches to manage nearterm Earth system risks ensure economic and global security and protect communities and natural lands. Earth System Risk Rising meteorological extremes pose risks to energy security economic competitiveness and public safety. Reflecting Sunlight Scientists have proposed methods to reduce heat and other risks in the atmosphere by reflecting sunlight from particles and clouds. Today we lack the scientific information and monitoring capabilities needed for the world to ensure our safety and security.
