UALT works with ag landowners to protect their properties and continue their farming and ranching operations in Utah. Conservation easements are the key. Utah Agricultural Land Trust is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission involves preservation of private agricultural lands in Utah thus allowing the continuation of family-operated farms and ranches throughout the state. Conservation of Utah’s private agricultural lands permanently protects this land for productive use and for the land's conservation value which includes productive farming, wildlife protection, historic and cultural value, scenic vistas and open spaces which are enjoyed by the public.
