Why Staying in Treatment Longer Leads to Better Outcomes The evidence is mounting and very clear: staying engaged in therapeutic processes longer into the first year (or ideally, throughout the entire first year) of sobriety results in better long-term outcomes for people who seek treatment for problematic substance use. Present Moments Recovery offers the entire continuum of treatment, from detox to outpatient care, and we also have sober living houses (for men). That is one of the reasons people who come here are able to get and stay sober for the long-term.
