Last week was full of celebrations! 🎉 First - Two leaders on our team were named Trailblazers in Economic & Workforce Development by City and State PA! David Gonzalez, Director of Economic Initiatives, leads the implementation of York County’s Economic Action Plan, driving forward key initiatives around housing, the rural economy, and the Trail Towns program. Bronley Martin, Urban Revitalization Manager with Downtown Inc, focuses on public safety, historic preservation, public art, and wayfinding, playing a key role in the ongoing revitalization of Downtown York. Next, our Downtown York, PA and our BLOOM Business Empowerment Center were honored at the Pennsylvania Downtown Center Townie Awards receiving recognition for Organizational Excellence – Community Partnerships. This award celebrates our incredible collaboration with the York City Police Department (York, Pa) through the Downtown Resource Center, a community-first initiative keeping our downtown welcoming, safe, and connected. We’re deeply grateful for the support of the York County Community FoundationFoundation and our partners at Central Market York, who help make this partnership possible every day. The Townies also celebrated several York County Trail Towns businesses with the Promotions & Marketing: Retail Promotions award for the 2024 Susquehanna Holiday Trail! (fb)

Join us as we spotlight three incredible women entrepreneurs from our York County Trail Towns who are turning trailside charm into thriving businesses! Our next WBCO Luncheon is on Tuesday, June 10 at 11:30am at Heritage Hills Golf Resort. Micah Cummins, owner of Apricity Products LLC., Lori Capello owner of River Rock Provisions, home of Half Nuts Popcorn Co. LLC, and Jessica Wolf, owner of Oak, Artisan Cookery, will share how tourism and the outdoor economy have fueled their growth—and how local support like the BLOOM grant helped them take their businesses to the next level. 🎟Register now: https://bit.ly/WBCOJUNE25 (fb)
