Since 1938, National Wildlife Week has been an annual celebration aimed at connecting people interested in conservation to the incredible wonders of wildlife.🐾Now more than ever, these connections serve as a vital component to protecting vulnerable wildlife. 🌳The Nature Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo will protect over 20,000 acres of critical habitat space for many of our local species, including seven endangered species. 🦋Learn more about local plants and animals on our Spring Nature Hike this Saturday, April 12 from 2-4 pm. 🌻Register at: https://events.thenaturereserve.org/calendar/registration/?ee=2760 Caption: An endangered species, the California gnatcatcher, perches on a branch. #nationalwildlifeweek #nationalwildlifefederation #wildlife #wildlifewednesday #rmvreserve #SpringonTheRanch #NatureReserve #SpringHikes (fb)

This week’s Takeover Tuesday post is by student Kyan Ho. Kyan reflects on his experience with The Nature Reserve’s High School Environmental Science Career Program. He shares “The ability to develop my scientific skills and broaden my knowledge of habitat restoration was exciting. The program provided the perfect opportunity to combine my love of nature with my desire to create change and make a difference.” #rmvreserve #environmentalcareerprogram (fb)
