This vision led to Faith Angler Networks launch in 2009 as a 501c3 Outdoor Ministry. Initially Cook and Technical Director Justin Rieger along with a dedicated team of volunteers focused on a mostly adult fishing audience. In 2013 after an inspiring meeting with Scott Anderson and a small group of young anglers the team had a new vision to bring competitive fishing and sharing the gospel to middle and high schoolers so that they may experience the lifechanging reality of faith fishing and friendship.

The ripple effects of FAN go far beyond the lake. At our 2025 banquet, we saw firsthand how fishing opens the door to deeper relationships—with God and with each other. We're working to expand this reach—across Texas and into thousands of lives.

We believe moments outdoors lead to stronger bonds indoors. FAN doesn’t just build better anglers—it builds stronger families rooted in faith. With mentorship and youth expansion on the horizon, these relationships are just the beginning.
